We're excited to share a major development update for HalloweenBot! 🎃 From a completely redesigned dashboard and new plugin system to welcome & farewell messages, improved analytics, enhanced permissions management, and upgraded countdown tools, we've been hard at work building the foundation for HalloweenBot's next chapter. Here's a look at what's coming soon.
Over the past few weeks we've been hard at work behind the scenes on one of the biggest upgrades HalloweenBot has received in a long time.
While there haven't been many public announcements recently, development has been moving at full speed as we prepare the next generation of HalloweenBot's dashboard, plugin system, and server management experience.
Today we're excited to share some of what's coming soon.
🎨 A Completely Redesigned Dashboard
One of our biggest goals has been making HalloweenBot easier to configure and manage.
The existing dashboard has served us well, but as the bot has grown, we've needed something more modern, scalable, and easier to navigate.
The new dashboard features:
- A completely redesigned guild overview page
- Faster loading times
- Improved server management tools
- Better navigation between features
- Enhanced mobile and desktop layouts
- Premium server indicators
- Rich server information panels
- Quick actions for common tasks
The new experience is designed to help server owners spend less time configuring the bot and more time enjoying it.
🔌 New Plugin System
We've rebuilt how plugins work from the ground up.
Instead of creating separate database tables and systems for every feature, plugins can now store their own settings directly inside a flexible configuration system.
This means:
- Easier future feature development
- Faster plugin deployment
- More customization options
- Better scalability
- Simpler management for server owners
This foundation will allow us to release new HalloweenBot features much faster moving forward.
👋 Welcome & Farewell System
A brand new Welcome & Farewell plugin is currently being developed.
Features include:
- Welcome messages
- Farewell messages
- Custom channels
- Custom message templates
- Variable support
- Live message previews
Supported variables include:

{memberCount}
We've also built the system to support Halloween-themed randomized messages whenever a custom message hasn't been configured.
That means your server can automatically receive spooky greetings and ghostly goodbyes without requiring any setup.
⏰ Daily Countdown Improvements
The Daily Countdown plugin is receiving significant improvements.
Server owners will soon be able to:
- Configure countdown channels directly from the dashboard
- Set custom update times
- Enable or disable countdowns instantly
- Manage settings through a dedicated plugin page
This makes one of HalloweenBot's most popular features easier than ever to use.
📊 Better Analytics
We've started work on a new analytics experience that will provide server owners with greater insight into how HalloweenBot is being used.
Planned improvements include:
- Command usage statistics
- Activity tracking
- Most used commands
- User engagement metrics
- Live activity feeds
- Future graphical reporting
This will help communities better understand which features their members enjoy most.

Managing permissions can sometimes be confusing.
To help with this, we're introducing a dedicated permissions dashboard that shows:

- Administrator permission warnings
This should make troubleshooting setup issues much easier.
